As the 2017 MLS season winds up with the semi-final first legs having been played this midweek, it's time to reflect back on the highs and lows of the campaign.

One of the more curious rankings from MLS this season are the Top 25 players with the highest quantity of replica shirts sold which is topped by Paraguayan international, Atlanta United's No. 10. Miguel Almiron.

New Chicago Fire signing Bastian Schweinsteiger is second on the podium with the former German international and Manchester United star creating a positive impression in his first season with the Illinois based outfit.

Despite a disappointing pre-season for his club NYCFC, it has been another positive season for the Asturian David Villa, gaining a call up for the Spanish national side and ending the MLS campaign as second top scorer with his 22 goals only bettered by that of Chicago Fire's Nemanja Nikolic on 24 strikes.
