Spain have been drawn in Group B for the World Cup in Russia next summer and will play Portugal in Sochi on June 15th to kickstart their respective group stages.
The last time the two sides met in the grup stages at an interational tournament was in 2004 when Portugal won the game 1-0 thanks to a Nuno Gomes strike, and also topped the group as their neighbours fell at the first hurdle. They finished third behind the Portuguese and Greece, who would go on to win it.
