Arthur: Barcelona target photographed in club's shirt
Globoesporte has published a photo of the 21-year-old midfielder in the Barça home top, further fuelling rumours that he is LaLiga-bound.
The media outlet Globoesporte has published a photograph of 21-year-old Barcelona target Arthur Henrique posing in the LaLiga giants' home shirt.
In an article jointly written by the journalists Diego Ghichard, Tomas Hammes and Ivan Raupp, the publication claims that the image was taken during a meeting at the offices of the Gremio midfielder's agent, Jorge Machado, in which it is thought he could have made the decision to leave his native Brazil and join Barça.
Barcelona sporting director ran rule over Arthur this week
Robert Fernández, Barcelona's sporting director, was in South America this week to watch Arthur in action in Gremio's Copa Libertadores final win over Lanús, with the Blaugrana understood to have stepped up their interest in the youngster, who in October extended his contract with the Porto Alegre side until 2021 - a new deal that includes a 50m-euro release clause.
There can be few doubts that the photograph is current: Arthur can be seen with a cast protecting his left ankle, which he injured in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores trophy decider.
Photo "doesn't mean anything", say Barcelona
And the belief that Arthur is Barça-bound has been further fuelled by the presence in the image of André Cury, an intermediary who was involved in taking Neymar to the Camp Nou in 2013. However, the Catalans are at the moment maintaining that the photo "doesn't mean anything".
