Roll on February 2018 as the draws were made this morning for the next stage of both the Champions League and the Europa League.
Champions League last 16
All three LaLiga sides involved in the last 16 (Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and Sevilla FC) were handed tricky ties with the current holders drawn against PSG, the current LaLiga leaders set to face Chelsea and Sevilla welcoming Manchester United.

Europa League last 32
It was a case of mixed sensations for the four Spanish sides involved in the Europa League with tricky ties for Athletic Club and Villarreal as they are set to face Spartak Moscow and Villarreal respectively whilst Atletico Madrid and Real Sociedad will be relatively happy with their ties as they face FC Copenhagen and Salzburg.

2017/18 Champions League last-16 draw: preview
The Champions League enters its business end as the 16 teams left in the competition move into the knockout stages bidding to be the side to lift the trophy in Kiev in May.
Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla are the three Spanish names in a hat that also includes Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Besiktas, Chelsea, Roma, Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Manchester United, Liverpool, FC Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk.
The draw will see each group winner paired with a runner-up. Clubs from the same national association to be kept apart, as are sides who met in the previous round.
The first legs of the last 16 will take place on 13, 14, 20 and 21 February 2018, with the second legs scheduled for 6, 7, 13 and 14 March 2018.

Europa League last-32 draw: preview
Four LaLiga clubs - Atlético Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, Real Sociedad and Villarreal - will learn the identity of their opponents in today's Europa League last-32 draw.
Atlético, Athletic and Villarreal are seeded, and will be accompanied in pot 1 by AC Milan (ITA), Arsenal (ENG), Atalanta (ITA), Braga (POR), CSKA Moscow (RUS), Dynamo Kiev (UKR), Lazio (ITA), RB Leipzig (GER), Lokomotiv Moskow (RUS), Plzeň (CZE), Salzburg (AUT), Sporting CP (POR) and Zenit (RUS).
Meanwhile, La Real feature in pot 2 with AEK Athens (GRE), Astana (KAZ), Borussia Dortmund (GER), Celtic (SCO), Copenhagen (DEN), Red Star Belgrade (SRB), Steaua Bucharest (ROU), Ludogorets (BUL), Lyon (FRA), Marseille (FRA), Napoli (ITA), Nice (FRA), Östersund (SWE), Partizan Belgrade (SRB), Spartak Moskow (RUS).
As is the case in the Champions League last 16, clubs who are from the same country or faced each other in the group stage cannot be drawn together.
