Napoli to request Deulofeu on loan in January - RAI Sport
Italian media report that Napoli are keen to bring in the Barcelona forward on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The next transfer window could be a decisive one as far as Gerard Deulofeu's future is concerned. The 23-year-old is being held back at Barcelona, just six months after his his return and now he could be on the verge of returning to Italy.
Deulofeu's low-key role under Valverde
Deulofeu is featuring less and less in Ernesto Valverde's plans, and was excluded from the squad for the team's last league game against Villarreal. In Italy, RAI Sport report today that Napoli are very interested in taking the Spain international back to Serie A during the winter window.
According to those reports, Napoli are keen for Deulofeu to join them on a loan capacity until the end of the season. Coach Maurizio Sarri is looking for a player who will reinforce his attack and bring a fresh air to the side whilst giving him the opportunity to rest Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne. Sarri feels that the Blaugrana winger is the perfect solution to allow him to to that.
