Zidane: "We can't explain how we didn't score"
The Real Madrid manager was keen to brush aside questions on VAR and much analysis of the game as his side now focus on Gremio in the Club World Cup final.
Zinedine Zidane spoke to Teledeporte after his side beat Al Jazira 1-2 in the Club World Cup semi-final thanks to a late Gareth Bale goal.
Gareth Bale: "I'm happy for him and so is he, as he came on and made the difference. It is a deserved result. In the first half, it didn't want to go in for us and we can't explain because we had so many chances but didn't score."
Suffering: "Yes, we suffered, but that happens in football. Sometimes, it doesn't want to go in and you have to play despite this from time to time. It was a complicated game for us. Now we have to think about the final."
VAR: "It is what it is, we have to adapt to things like this. Sometimes, it is too late, and we didn't know what happened."
Gremio: "We are in the final. We have to recover and think of defending our title."
