José Mourinho is planning on using the imminent winter transfer window to bring in fresh talent at Old Trafford and will also use the market as an opportunity to release players he deems that are surplus to requirement at the Premier League side.

Six players have been singled out as candidates for a departure from the Manchester club being: Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Daley Blind, Axel Tuanzebe, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and James Wilson.

United are also believed to be working on player acquisitions with the likes of Bale, Griezmann and Özil being constantly linked with the Red Devils but it would appear a stronger possibility of their recruitment during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

United remain second in the Premier League, some 11 points behind local rivals City, are still involved in the EFL Cup facing Bristol city this week and are set to play Sevilla in the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
