Adri Embarba pens new deal at Rayo Vallecano up to 2021
The Madrid-based club officially announced the winger's renewal on Tuesday. The 25-year-old has scored four times and provided seven assists this season.
Rayo Vallecano have officially announced a contract renewal for winger Adri Embarba, who has become one of the key members of Míchel’s side this season with four goals and seven assists so far.
The 25-year-old was subject to plenty of outside interest last summer but elected to remain in Vallecas, the club he debuted with in Primera División and where he has now been plying his trade for five seasons.
Rayo tying down their young talents to long-term deals
In 2017-18 Embarba has been the most-used player under Míchel (1,623 minutes) behind only keeper Alberto (1,710) and has featured in every one of Rayo’s 19 games this season.
Embarba’s renewal follows on from new deals being handed to Santi Comesaña, who has a release clause of 25 million euros, and Fran Beltrán (eight million) as the club seeks to tie down its young talents to long-term deals.
