Zinedine Zidane put the Real Madrid squad through their paces at Valdebebas, with just two days to go until Barcelona visit the Spanish capital for a crucial Clásico.

Ronaldo trains alone

The fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo will be the main concern for Zidane. The 32-year-old has not trained with the rest of his team-mates since returning from the Club World Cup. On Thursday, Real Madrid confirmed in a statement that he continues to work "on his own out on the pitch, both with and without the ball."

The club have not given an explanation of Ronaldo's injury, but it is possible that the player is experiencing soreness after a heavy challenge from Geromel in the early stages of the Club World Cup final against Gremio.

CR7 will still face Barcelona

In any case, AS sources reveal that he is not training at the same rhythm as his team-mates as a precautionary measure, and he will face Barcelona on Saturday unless there is a surprise at the last minute.
