Atlético Madrid spent Thursday morning thrashing out the terms of teenage striker Lincoln's proposed move to the club from Flamengo. The player's agents were at the Vicente Calderón offices to negotiate with Atlético, whose offer comes to 10 million euros including add-ons while Flamengo are holding out for 15 million, AS understands. The Rojiblancos have proposed setting a buy-out fee at 30 million euros for the 17-year-old who is expected to sign a five-year deal.
Lincoln shines at U17 World Cup
Lincoln was one of the star players for Brazil at the recent Under-17 World Cup. His performances attracted attention from clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester United. Barça were the first to contact Flamengo about the player but were put off by the Brazilian club's demands. Atlético are pushing hard for the youngester and are close to landing one of the most promising talents in Brazil.
