Sevilla sack Berizzo and are in talks with his replacement
The Argentine coach was dismissed after a poor run of results. Javi Gracia is the big favourite to take over the reins.
Sevilla announced shortly after 20:00 hours this evening that they have parted company with coach Eduardo Berizzo as a consequence of the poor results the team has gained in recent weeks. The decision was made after board members and Director of Sport held an emergency meeting today. Berizzo leaves the club after the team failed to win their last three league games which saw them slip out of the top four in the table.
Javi Gracia in line to take Sevilla coaching post
Sevilla announced that they are negotiating with a replacement. Javi Gracia is the favourite to tajke over the reins of the team following the Christmas break, although the southern side are also believed to have made contact with former Celta and Barcelona coach Luis Enrique to find out what his plans are after taking a year's sabattical from the game.
