Michael Carrick shows class with message to David Silva
Manchester United's captain put sporting differences to one side to send a message of support to City's David Silva, who is going through a delicate time in his personal life.
The world football community is with David Silva who revealed the personal problems which have kept him off the field of play in recent days. The Manchester City midfielder's son was born prematurely and he has travelled home to Spain to be by his side. Since then he has been inundated with message of support but one really stood out as it came from City's arch enemies.
Manchester United captain Michael Carrick took to social media to wish Silva, his family and especially his son all the best. "Some things are much more important than football.All the best to you and your family David, especially to your little man", Carrick wrote on Twitter.
