Klopp considering Suso bid to replace Philippe Coutinho
The UK press have been busy speculating as to who may come in after the Brazil international's transfer to Barcelona and suggest the AC Milan midfielder could return to Anfield.
With 160 million euros in the coffers after the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, Liverpool are combing the market for potential reinforcements in January.
The UK media have put forward several names thought to be under consideration by Jürgen Klopp and the Anfield board and among them is a familiar one to Liverpool supporters: AC Milan midfielder Suso.
The Spaniard spent one largely unsuccessful season at Anfield in 2012-13 under Brendan Rodgers, making 14 league appearances and subsequently went on loan at Almería before joining AC Milan in 2015, where his current contract runs until 2022.
Suso's resurgence at AC Milan
Since his move to the San Siro, Suso’s stock has risen and he is now a key component of the side, scoring 14 times in 72 appearances over the past two seasons and earning a call-up to the Spain squad last November. He is also eligible to play in the Champions League this season, which may be an attractive proposition to Klopp.
As well as Suso, other names in the hat to replace Coutinho are Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez and Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.
