Florentino Pérez has given the go-ahead to agent Jorge Mendes, (Cristiano Ronaldo's representative) to listen to offers for the forward. Portuguese sports daily Record break the news just after AS revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo is anxious to leave Real Madrid after feeling a sense of betrayal with Florentino failing to keep his word and offer him a contract that stretches beyond his current deal which expires in 2021.

Cristiano's ideal destination would be a move back to Manchester United, where he played between 2003 and 2009 before his big money move to the Spanish capital although reports suggest that an Old Trafford transfer could be complicated due to the high wage demands the striker from Madeira would insist on.

High earner

It's expected that offers for the forward will be forthcoming not just from European clubs but also with potential interest from clubs in the Chinese Super League and MLS but the key factor in any move involving the current Real Madrid top scorer would be covering the player's wage demand.

Despite winning three of the past four available Ballon d'Or awards the Madeira born player is the fifth best paid in the world with his 21 million euro annual salary being eclipsed by big earners Neymar Jr. and his 36 million euro per year at PSG and top earner Messi who now picks up a pay-packet of 50 million euro per season with FC Barcelona after his recent contract renovation.
