Jémez: "Loic Remy is a liar"
Carlos Diaz-RecioAS

Paco Jémez spoke at a press conference before the Valencia game in LaLiga on Saturday night. It was not, however, his opponent at the weekend that was the central theme at the meeting with the press. It was Loic Remy, who was sent packing upon the arrival of the former Rayo Vallecano, Granada and Cruz Azul coach.

Remy said that Jémez had treated him "like a piece of shit" and that he was brushed aside when the new manager arrived. Jemez, however, spent five minutes explaining the situation to get everything out in the open regarding the Frenchman's issues with the club.

"Two, like everyone else," Jemez said when he was asked if he had balls, which is something Remy said the Spanish manager lacked in dealing with the issue. "I did not intend to speak about this but I will clear it up. Here, Remy has been treated with far more respect than he has shown since I've been here. Look, if we respect him, we sell his departure as a sporting thing but that is not the case. It was more a disciplinary issue than sporting. The truth very easy because there were 30 people there when everything happened," he said.

"Remt didn't arrive late once like he said, he arrived late twice. Also, the first time that he arrived late, when we met at the stadium to meet each other he arrived late and didn't introduce himself or anything. On the field, before we started I said to the team and I said to him that we can't have these circumstances in our way of acting because I will not allow it and it shows a lack of respect to the others. At dinner, he returned and arrived late and that is when we went from here to here (expressing how the situation progressed) and it's when I said to him to pack his things and to go home because you won't play for a single second with me. To speak to the president to fix his situation. I don't think I can make it any more clear. It's not a question of balls but clarity with 30 people. I don't know why Remy has to lie. I don't know who is missing balls or not. What I do know is that Remy is a liar because his story is not true. It's his own truth," Jémez continued.

"After this, we tried to help him. First, I did not say that I expelled him but because of sporting reasons but in the end, here is a guy with a new manager, just arrived, in two hours he arrived late twice. When we are together fifteen days, how many times would he have been late?! I will not allow this by anybody. He broke rules that were established at the club and I told him I wasn't going to need him," Jemez continued.

Jémez says that the club need to find a new team for Remy before the end of the transfer window and if they can't then they wil have to sit down and discuss a solution.
