The 17-year-old was also on Barcelona's radar, but has opted to move to the Spanish capital for a fee of €100,000 plus various perfomance-based clauses.
Cádiz have confirmed that 17-year-old star Fran Rivera has joined Real Madrid for a fee of €100,000. Barcelona were also rumoured to be interested in the youngster.
Fran Rivera deal includes various clauses
Rivera - a regular with the Andalusian under-18 team as well as Cádiz - is already in Madrid with his new team.
The transfer will allow Cádiz to continue alleviating the club's debt, while it may also be used to reinforce the first team in the January transfer window, as they look to seal promotion to the primera división.
"Fran Rivera's transfer is €100,000 with plus a lot more variables," said Quique Pina, the Cádiz CEO, "If he plays in the first team, if he becomes an international, how many games he plays, it depends on a lot of things. There are a lot of clauses that ensure Cádiz benefit if the player triumphs at Real Madrid."
