PSG's Dani Alves gets three match ban for confronting referee
The Brazilian full back was sent off during the recent loss to Lyon in Ligue 1 and on Thursday was handed his sanctions, increased due to his reaction to the official.
Dani Alves has been sanctioned by the French Football Federation with at least a three game ban after he confronted referee Clement Turpin to protest the decision against him during the 2-1 defeat to Lyon on Sunday.
Dissent leads to extra ban
According to a report by Radio Monte Carlo, the Brazilian full back will miss the additonal matches due to that reaction to the official. The incident occurred following a tackle on Tanguy Ndombele in the middle of the park which Turpin deemed a foul and a yellow card for Alves. The player lost control at that view and was quickly into the face of the referee, shouting. That reaction earned him a straight red card, not helping his teammates in their quest for the three points.
The league authorities slapped a three match ban on the player with a further game suspended for now.

After the match, the player took to social media to defend his actions saying:
"Decisions were taken, the battle was already lost, but I continue to think that the señor was wrong with his decision."
"Since when has disagreeing meant a lack of respect. If they want to say it was my fault, they can, that is free, and moreover I have broad shoulders and a pair of balls that ensure I am always standing upright."
That Instagram message may result in further action being taken by the FFF.
