Cristiano not in Lineker's top three

Speaking in Spain on Tuesday, Gary Lineker named his three favourite players - with Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo failing to make the cut. Lionel Messi, Neymar and Harry Kane were the trio chosen by the footballer-turned-broadcaster, who was in Barcelona to collect a career achievement award handed out by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

"Messi is from another planet, and Neymar and Kane are the future," said the former England captain, who spent three years at Barça in the 1980s, on the Cadena SER radio programme 'El Larguero'.

Pestana CR7 hotel set for Madrid

Having already opened two in his native Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to expand his 'Pestana CR7' chain of hotels to Madrid. So far the striker's plans have not been confirmed, but the indications are that the luxury hotel is to be located on the central shopping street Gran Via, above the famous Casa del Libro bookshop.

Ceballos back out on the training pitch

Having done work on the training field at Ciudad Real Madrid on Tuesday, Dani Ceballos was back out on the pitch today, going through his paces individually as he steps up his recovery from an ankle sprain suffered last month.

Lucas, Keylor did train on Monday

According to the TV show 'El Chiringuito', Lucas Vázquez and Keylor Navas did do work at Real Madrid's training ground on Monday, despite the first team's training session being called off due to heavy snowfall in the Spanish capital.

Neymar won't go to Real Madrid, says ex-PSG boss

Former Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Fernández is adamant that Neymar won't be swapping the Ligue 1 giants for Real Madrid, telling 'El Larguero': "I'd put my house on him not going to Madrid. He's very happy here [in Paris], he's a top player and he's priceless."
