Real Sociedad: Gareth Bale's favourite opponents

The Welsh striker has bagged six goals in eight games against the Basque outfit all away from home with 'La Real' only winning three games in Madrid in 70 games.

Gareth Bale comes face-to-face with one of his preferred LaLiga opponents this weekend as Real Sociedad are the visitors to the Santiago Bernabeu tonight with the Basque side being one of the teams he has scored most goals against (six in eight games) in LaLiga and when he's not on target the Welsh player is at hand to provide assists.

His recent performances have been erratic with fine displays against Galician sides Celta and Deportivo coupled with under-par performances in the games against Villarreal and Levante). Bale is still the club's second top scorer this season, joint with Asensio on eight goals as the pair trail Cristiano on 18 strikes. He's also the sides second highest provider of assists on five, trailing Isco by just one.

La Real

Struggling Real Sociedad are the visitors to the Santiago Bernabeu this evening, the last league game ahead of the eagerly awaited mid-week Champions League tie against PSG and Bale will be anxious to carry-on his form against the Basque side. The Cardiff born player has bagged six goals against the men in blue and white and when he fails to find the target, he's on hand to provide assists for his team-mates.

All of his goals against "Los Txuri-urdin" have coincidentally come at Anoeta and the player will be looking to address that statistic this evening where he is expected to start in the Real Madrid XI.
