REAL BETIS
Adán: "Ceballos told me if he was to leave Madrid, it would be for Betis"
The Real Betis goalkeeper did not help speculation that Dani Ceballos might be considering his future at Real Madrid and said the players has a great affection for the club.
Former Real Madrid goalkeeper and current Real Betis shot-stopper, Antonio Adán, has revealed that Dani Ceballos spoke to him about the possibility of leaving the Santiago Bernabeu in the winter transfer market. "I spoke with him. Before and during the process in which he spoke about the possibility of coming here. He wanted to return to Betis. He always said that, if the moment came to possibily leave Real Madrid, it would be to return to Betis, to his home," Adan told ABC after speculation grew over the players future at the club and Betis wanted to bring him in on loan.
Adán also admitted that Quique Setien also wanted the player to return. He has not been given as many opportunities at Real Madrid and suffered an injury recently, which he has just returned from. Setien said the player was sad recently and Ceballos responded with an Instagram post to say he was happy. Adán added, "The manager also had that wish. For paperwork reasons, it couldn't be. Dani has a great affection for the club. The only move that would have made him leave Madrid, where he is growing despite his lack of minutes, would have been to come. He is a different player, one of the good ones, that can be successful at Real Madrid."
Adán has one year left on his contract and says, "my wish is to finish my final year, but it doesn't just depend on me. The club has to decide aswell."
