Barcelona knock PSG out of Uefa Youth League as Mbappé looks on

Strengthened with players of the calibre of Miranda and Abel Ruiz, who were both part of the Under-17 World Cup 2017 runners up side, Barça's youngsters ran out winners over Paris Saint-Germain thanks to a single goal from Carles Pérez. That win puts the Catalan team through to the quarter-finals of Uefa's Youth League where they will play the winnners of Atlético Madrid and Basel.

Pérez opens quarters for Barça

The goal came just after the hour mark with Pérez latching onto a ball cut to him by the very talented Ricard Puig, and rounded the goalkeeper to slot home after his first shot was saved. The Mini Estadi will be the venue for their quarter-final clash on March 13/14. The winner of that game will move onto the 'Final Four' knockout in Nyon.

Two famous faces watching on from the stands were PSG president, Nasser Al Khelaifi, and current first team star, Kylian MBappé, who will be hoping they can keep their side's presence in the senior Champions League competition when they face the second leg against Real Madrid on March 7.
