Bale abandons bench during first half against Leganés
The Welshman, in the dug-out but wearing trainers, headed off to the dressing room with the game being played.
Bale's situation at Real Madrid leaves a lot to be desired. The Welshman, upset at being left out of the side to play PSG in the Champions League, once again revealed his lack of connection to the team this evening at Butarque during the LaLiga clash against Leganés, and this time not on the pitch, but from the bench itself.
Bale wanders away
Having not made the Real Madrid starting XI once again, in the middle of the first half, Bale got up from the bench, and under the gaze of his team-mates and the coaching staff, wandered off to the dressing room.
It was notable too that Bale was wearing trainers, rather than football boots. While it's possible Bale was attending to a call of nature, or had forgotten something in the dressing room, it's another sign of how distant Bale is from the rest of the team, that he feels he can simply disappear for a while with his colleagues fighting for three Liga points. Bale did end up coming on, in the 75th minute of the second half, taking Benzema's place.
