The former Chicago Bear cornerback, Charles Tillman, has reportedly graduated from the FBI's 20-week training program in pursuit of a new career direction.

Former Pro Bowl cornerback, Tillman, becomes an FBI agent

Former Chicago Bears cornerback, Charles Tillman, made a name for himself intercepting passes from opposing quarterbacks (and forcing fumbles, more precisely) but in his new line of work, he will be concerned with the intercepting of information as the former Pro Bowl player has earned his FBI badge.

According to Sporting News, Tillman finished the 20-week program before his 37th birthday as the FBI's rules state you have to complete your training before that age. A source close to Tillman's family said, "He is currently working for the FBI. (He) has his badge and everything" but the bureau would not comment as they said it was a personal matter and they didn't coment on such things.

They might use the recruitment of such a high profile athlete as publicity or alternatively try to get him to fade into anonymity according to a source in the Sporting News' story.  Tillman graduated from college with a degree in criminal justice and often took up work with law enforcement officials during the offseason when he was in the NFL and so the news is not a huge surprise.

Tillman had to use the QB spy as a player but might be doing a different kind of spying if his FBI career takes off.
