Real Madrid completed their second and final session before their midweek league clash against Espanyol which will be played on Tuesday at 20:00 CET. AS English will be bringing you live coverage on the night.

Kroos, Modric and Marcelo close to return

Zidane had no further injury concerns to worry about, already in the knowledge that he is without Kroos, Marcelo, Modric and Vallejo, and the expectation is that by the end of this week these four can be reincorporated into the group with a view to some of them potentially being involved against PSG on March 6. Asensio, already recovered from the removal of a wisdom tooth that kept him out at the weekend, returned to the squad.

Throughout the session, which was held in a jovial, fun and relaxed environment, the Real Madrid players split into their normal groups to first get some touches of the ball before doing the physical work. On one side was Cristiano, Bale, Benzema, Casemiro, Varane, Keylor, Achraf, Kovacic and Luca Zidane. On the other, Ramos, Lucas Vázquez, Asensio, Isco, Carvajal, Kiko Casilla, Nacho, Borja Mayoral, Ceballos, Theo and Marcos Llorente.

The only youth player present in the session was the goalkeeper Dario, who went through it with Luis Llopis, while Bettoni kept a close eye on the players' efforts. Zidane and his assistant Hamidou were in constant discussion.
