The president of Barcelona spoke on Catalan television after his side were knocked out of the Champions League despite bringing a 4-1 lead into the second leg.

Conclusions: "They were better than us. It tastes bad and I feel for the fans. The sadness that we have, I carry it inside. Congratulations to Roma. It is a very sad day for Barcelona."

The game: "They dominated us all of the game and when they pushed, they were rewarded. They beat us all over the field. We want to analyse calmly and it is a result that's quite clear on the field. The hope for all of us was to reach the semi-finals."

Impressions: "I'm sorry for all of the culés around the world. We have a very competitive team that will lift themselves up. We will return to the league, the Copa, but in Rome, Roma beat us well."

Poject: "We always want to win the Champions League. We want all the titles. We have a very good team and every year we want to fight for the Champions League. Getting eliminated is always a concern and we will have a good look at it. All of the games are important but it's a big blow for the institution."
