Barcelona bonuses: one million euros for the double

With Barça beating Sevilla in the Copa del Rey final, they'll add a decent chunk of cash to their Liga bonus.

Every Barcelona player's contract sets out the bonuses they'll earn when the team wins a trophy. There used to be a general bonus pot that was shared out between all the players, however for nearly a decade now the bonuses have been included in the individual contracts, meaning not every player will get exactly the same amount, though they are generally aligned

No stand-alone Barcelona bonus for winning Copa del Rey

What has been maintained though across all the contracts is that Barcelona do not pay a bonus for simply winning the Copa del Rey. If the team only win that trophy in a season there's no extra cash for anyone. On the other hand, if they win another trophy and the Copa del Rey, there is an extra - around 250,000 for every player.

LaLiga on it's own is worth around 750,000 euros per player, meaning the double is worth a chunky one million euros. A Liga and Champions League double comes in at around 1.75 million euros per player, while a Liga, Champions League and Copa del Rey triple is worth two million.

With tonight's win then, and if Barcelona can beat Deportivo in their next game in LaLiga, which will hand them the title, that means the Barcelona players will rake in one million euros in just 180 minutes.
