Torres: “I have to sacrifice my dreams for the good of Atlético”
Fernando Torres sat down with Jorge Valdano in an interview on 'Universo Valdano' after the Atlético striker announced he was leaving the club at the end of the season.
Atlético Madrid striker, Fernando Torres, announced he will leave the club at the end of the season. He explained in an interview on television recently that this is the first time he had to "sacrifice" his dreams for the "good of Atlético", which is more important.
"In some ways, I feel like everything is focused on my and that meaybe that's not positive for the growth of the club, and it's the first time that I feel like I have to sacrifice my dreams and myself as a football, because I only wanted to be here, for the good of Atleti, and that is much more important," said Torres in an interview with Jorge Valdano in "Universo Valdano" on BeIn LaLiga.
"I was born Atlético, I grew up Atlético, and this is my destiny," added the striker, who announced on the 9th of April his decision that his second spell as a rojiblanco was coming to an end.
