Real Madrid congratulate Barcelona for Liga-Copa double
It may be one of the most famous rivalries in world football but there is a time and a place to put that to one side and applaud the opposition's achievements.

Real Madrid put aside their rivarly and congratulated F.C.Barcelona for their Copa del Rey and Liga titles via their Spanish and English social media accounts.
Enhorabuena al @FCBarcelona_es por los títulos de Liga y Copa del Rey logrados esta temporada.

Congratulations to @FCBarcelona for winning LaLiga and the Copa del Rey this season.

Eternal rivals
This is not an uncommon practice between the two Spanish giants, but it is not always done, at least, not publicly on social networks. This is actually the first mention of the Copa final victory on April 21st of the Catalan club by Los Blancos (maybe they were holding back till they could combine the two). It's worth noting too that there was no congratulations sent from Barça to Madrid when Zidane and co. lifted the Club World Championship in mid December.

On previous occasions, as seen with the Real Madrid's Champions League and LaLiga double last season, Barça have sent congratulatory messages.
Felicidades al Real Madrid por el título de Liga 2016-17.

Enhorabuena @realmadrid por el título conseguido en Cardiff

As Madrid take to the field for their Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich, the social media team at their blaugrana rivals will no doubt be pondering what to post if indeed Los Blancos were to go on to win an unprecedented third consecutive title. Although they'd probably be fine if they didn't.
