Fran Sol rejects Watford: "I want to go to a winning team"
Sol spoke to the Dutch media and says while there was contacts, Watford will not be the former Real Madrid's next destination.
Last season, Fran Sol exploded onto the scene. This year though, he has gone supernova. He is one of the top scorers in the Eredivisie with Willem II and has plenty of offers to listen to in the summer. He has scored 16 goals and has the chance to fight to be the league's best goalscorer and his star continues to rise.
He will not be moving to Watford, however, as recoge AD report, the Real Madrid academy product says: "I will think about the next step, and Watford will not be it." The players himself posted photos of a trip to England but he has rejected the offer after considering it.
"Two weeks ago, I was in London. They invited me to Watford and it was the first contact. They wanted to know me personally and to show me the club. I didn't hide it on social media and in England they take it very serious, but it was nothing special," he said.
Regarding him future, he concludes that he wants to go to a winning club but "an offer hasn't arrived from a club like that and, also, I have to come to agreement with Willem II to end my contract. No offer from a club that satisfies me has arrived. But, at the moment, I feel happy here."
