Diego Costa talks Griezmann and being lucky to return to Atlético after he left for Chelsea and insists the French striker needs to make history before he leaves, if that happens to be his decision. He was speaking at the press conference at Media Day before the Europa League final on May 15th.

What do you think about Griezmann's future?

"He is big enough to know what he has to do, he knows that he is important that we want him here and now it's his decision. He has to think about himself and his family. I am really happy with him, he is thinking about winning a title. All of the great strikers have come out and won something and made history. Griezmann, if he wants to leave, he has to make history here. He knows what to do."

You left Atlético and came back.

"I left and I was happy. A new experience for me and now I am here another time, I can't tell him to stay or go. Here, he is an idol, the fans love him. I had the happiness and good luck to come back, he knows that if he leaves, there is no coming back so he has to think with calmness. He looks relaxed and focused."

How is Griezmann?

"I see him very well, very focused, fired up, in good spirits. I don't see a difference from when I arrived. It doesn't seem like anything has happened. I see him tuned in and with a lot of excitement to win a title. I went but I won titles before I left. He is happy and this doesn't affect him, but it motivated him much more."
