It currently looks unlikely at this point that Robert Lewandowski will move to Real Madrid as Sky Germany report that ongoing talks between the player's agent Pini Zahavi and the Spanish club have broken down. The main reason cited is the asking price of 100 million euro for the Polish striker's servicies which Real Madrid deem is simply too expensive.

The latest information coincides with Bayern's director general Karl-Heinz Rummenigge who just a few days ago was adamant that the forward would remain with the Bavarian side next season stating: “We're lucky to have someone like Lewandowski and look forward to him playing with Bayern Munich next season".

The Pole is still anxious for a move away from the Bundelsiga after changing his agent from Kucharski to Pini Zahavi as a method of helping facilitate a move away from Munich. Real Madrid first team coach Zidane has already approved the acquisition and it will be interesting to see the next chapter in the unfolding saga with the World Cup looming on the horizon.
