SEVILLE DERBY
Setien: "I'm not interested in what Caparrós says before the derby"
Caparrós said it would be marvellous to beat Real Betis and to get into Europe by beating a rival but Setien said he doesn't "get involved in these games."
The Seville Derby is one of the most hotly-contested in Spain. The two sides involved, Sevilla and Real Betis, are fighting for a place in Europe and Saturday's fixture is set to be as fiery as ever. Joaquin Caparros, a man who has a way with words, has been stoking the fire ahead of the derby to heat things up.
He said, "To finish the season at home with a win could be an extraordinary moment, to beat another team from the city and to get into Europe and to overcome something that was off-limits it would be marvellous."
Quique Setien was unwilling to get drawn, however, in the emotional side of things. "These games are the same for the manager on the bench as the team," he said.
"I'm thinking about my team. I'm not interested in what Caparrós says. I don't get into these games. He has his way of doing things and I have mine," he said when asked about the Sevilla manager.
"They asked for a little hand (five goals) but to score five goals against a rival is not easy," Setien said despite the fact that Real Betis did indeed score five goals in their tie earlier in the season. "We would all be very happy if that happened," he says.
