The addition of Lemar to Rodri, the highly rated Spain under-21 international who formed part of La Roja’s pre-World Cup squad, was a step in the right direction but with Atlético striking a deal for a player who has been attracting interest across Europe, particularly from Arsenal and Barcelona, the board will be more confident of receiving a positive answer from Griezmann regarding his intentions for next season, with the number seven declaring that he will make an announcement before France kick off their World Cup campaign in Russia.
