Spain winger Lucas Vázquez spoke to the press about La Roja's prospects at the World Cup and the transfer rumours surrounding Kovacic's future at Real Madrid.
The toils of the favourites: "It's better for us if the favourites are knocked out, but whatever happens it'll be difficult so we're only focusing on ourselves and taking it one game at a time".
In the starting XI: "I work to be in the starting line-up but at the end of the day the gaffer decides on the starting eleven. My aim is to be one-hundred percent, help the team, and then give it all I've got if I get the chance".
Asensio: "Marco's had a couple of great seasons and is progressing. He's still young but has an amazing present and an even better future. No one really knows his ability because he's got so much potential. What we have to do is help him".
Kovacic. "Hopefully he'll stay. Apart from being a great player he's also a good friend. When it comes down to it, every player thinks about what's best for them and if he thinks the best thing is to leave then you have to respect his decision and support him".
