Real Madrid and Dortmund agree Achraf loan deal - Bild
The operation to take the young full-back from LaLiga to the Bundesliga is almost finalised with the Moroccan planning a two-year spell with Lucien Favre's side.
Real Madrid's young full-back Achraf Hakimi will play the next two seasons with Borussia Dortmund. This story has been published by German newspaper Bild, reporting that the move is on the verge of being completed.
Achraf to grow at Dortmund
With only the personal terms of the contract between the Moroccan footballer and the German club to be ironed out, the deal between the clubs has been finalised. This will allow the young star to start his Bundesliga journey in a similar manner to the one Dani Carvajal - the man he has been understudy to at the Bernabéu - undertook at Bayer Leverkusen. Real Madrid's objective is to allow him to accumulate more pitch time in a leading team of a strong league. In a league where young players can be thrust into huge games, the intention is that he can return to the Spanish capital a more mature player. Dortmund seems like the perfect fit.
Odriozola's Madrid move closer
As this transfer reaches its official conclusion, the space that Achraf leaves behind is expected to be filled by Álvaro Odriozola. The highly rated 22-year old will arrive to compete for the right-back position with fellow-Spaniard Carvajal.
