Giménez breaks down crying during France game
At 2-0 down and knowing he couldn't do anything about the result, Jose Gimenez broke down crying during the Uruguay - France quarter final in the World Cup.
It coulnd't be. Uruguay could not make it to the semi-final of the World Cup for the second time during Oscar Tabarez' reign at the helm when France knocked them out in their quarter-final on Friday afternoon.
Before the game, Luis Suarez had explained that Antoine Griezmann could not know what it was to be Uruguayan after the French attacker said he felt like he knew what it was like to be Uruguayan. Suarez said, "he does not really know what the feeling of a Uruguayan is. He does not know about the dedication and effort to be able to succeed in football with so few people."
The feeling was on display when, with five minutes to play, Jose Gimenez hauled down Paul Pogba. At 2-0 down and knowing there was little he could do about it and the Atletico Madrid defender burst into tears in the wall.
