Real Madrid issued a statement late on Friday evening to deny recent reports in the media, linking the Spanish club with Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar. Some media reports claimed that Madrid had sent an emissary to Brazil to negotiate the Neymar's transfer to the Bernabéu with the player's father. Madrid announced this evening that no such offer exists and added that they always follow the standard protocol in their transfer dealings and never make unlawful approaches for players from other clubs.
