Mourinho: “Cristiano Ronaldo? LaLiga no longer has the best two”
The Manchester United coach spoke about the transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus of star striker Cristiano Ronaldo.
Jose Mourinho has given his opinion about Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer from Real Madrid to Juventus. Mourinho coached the player at the Bernabéu for three seasons from 2010 to 2013.
“The Spanish league has just lost one of the two best players in the world. Now one is there in Spain, Messi, and the other is in Italy, Cristiano Ronaldo. Together with England, Italy is the most competitive league, with the most best players in it. Now we’ll see football in three dimensions”, said the Manchester United coach in an interview with TeleRadioStereo.
Italy is the most important place in football now
As to the impact of Cristiano Ronaldo in Serie A and at Juventus in particular, Mou said: “Now everybody will be looking at Italy because of Cristiano, at Spain for Messi and England for their league. Right now, it’s Serie A which has become the most important championship in the world. In football everything can change, the perspective of teams such as Inter, Milan and Roma change now. Now Juve is a lot stronger with Cristiano, they’ll keep winning, they’re motivated by the signing. He brings an increase in quality, attention and emotions to Serie A.
Equally, the Portuguese coach said that in his opinion Juventus had done a great spot of business with the signing of the striker: “I congratulate Juventus for their coup: in the transfer market, in advertising and in merchandising”.
