WORLD CUP FINAL | FRANCE 4-2 CROATIA

Casillas: "To be honest, I don't really understand how VAR is being used"

Iker Casillas voiced his disagreement with some of Néstor Pitana's decisions in Sunday's World Cup final: "It's not a foul on Griezmann" in France's opening goal.

Update:
Íker Casillas, junto a la copa del Mundial de Fútbol.

Iker Casillas, a World Cup winner in 2010, admits that he "doesn't really understand what VAR is all about" because, he explains, Argentine match official Néstor Pitana who was in charge of yesterday's final between France and Croatia, got some of his decisions wrong.  Pitana, "blew for an inexistent foul on (Antoine) Griezmann" in the move which led to France's opener in the match.

Not a foul - Iker

"To be honest, I don't really understand what VAR is being used for. The ref gives a free-kick for a non-existent on Griezmann and from that, France score... But no big deal", Casillas wrote on his Twitter account during Sunday's World Cup final in Moscow.

Uruguay striker Luis Suárez agrees with Iker and pointed out: "apart from that, (Paul) Pogba was offside and he played a part in the move...".
