Allegri: "Cristiano? There is too much euphoria and it's not good"
The Juventus manager highlighted the potential negative consequences to signing Ronaldo and says "this year will be harder than others"
Massimiliano Allegri appeared at a press conference before Juventus take on Benfica in the International Champions Cup and made an effort to throw cold water on the signing. He highlighted the potential negative consequences of Juventus' record signing.
"Cristiano has lots of international experience and he will help us a lot, but we have to be careful. There is too much euphoria around us and it's not good. This year will be more difficult than others," he warned.
The manager went on to says that "opponents will be more aggressive because we have won many games and now to have an excellent player like him. They will accept it and also, they will have more motivation. With Ronaldo, I spoke about how happy and enthusiastic about him coming here, there will be time to speak about football."
Ronaldo won't play against Benfica but could make his competitive debut against Chievo in Serie A.
