Courtois has told Chelsea his best option is a move to Real Madrid
The Belgian goalkeeper's agent has told the British press that the player has told Chelsea he wants to sign for Real Madrid but the club are refusing to let him go.
Thibault Courtois’ agent, Christophe Henrotay, has spoken with The Sun and said that the Belgian goalkeeper’s desire is to sign for Real Madrid, but that Chelsea are trying to keep him at Stamford Bridge.
"I have been reading everywhere that Chelsea are saying it is up to Thibaut, but he has made it clear to the club that the best option for him is to move to Madrid,” said Henrotay.
"For him this is a big decision because he wants to be near his family, and there is an offer in place for Chelsea to accept."
With just five days until the transfer deadline day in England, both Courtois and Real Madrid will be hoping that Chelsea will finally agree to the move. But unless the Blues can find a replacement for the Belgian in the coming days, it is unlikely that they will let him go.
