Cristiano set to make first Juventus appearance
The Portuguese striker will pull on the famous black and white striped shirt for the first time today as the first team play the Juve second side.
The transfer of the Madeira born striker to Turin has undoubtedly been one of the major transfer deals of the summer months and 5,000 Juve fans will pack the small stadium some 50 kilometres from the Northern Italian city. Expectation is so high that the club have hired 600 members of security to ensure all passes off incident free according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Cristiano didn't form part of the recent Juve US tour following his participation with Portugal in the 2018 Russia World Cup but has been training in Vinovo with the start of the Serie A 2018/19 campaign just a week away as Juve travel to Verona to face Chevio next Saturday.
