2018 FIFA Club World Cup draw: as it happened
Real Madrid will start their defence of their title in the 2018 Club World Cup on December 19 facing Mexico's Guadalajara or the winner of the 2018 Asian Champions League.
The draw was made in Zurich today for the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup tournament that will be staged in the United Arab Emirates from December 12-22.
Despite the teams that will represent Africa Asia and South America still being yet to be resolved (finals in November), we know now the pathway to the Abu Dhabi final on December 22nd.
If Real Madrid are to successfully defend the title they have claimed for the past three seasons, they will need to overcome Mexico's Guadalajara or the Asian Champions League winner in the semi-final.
The other semi will see the COMNEBOL winner face the winner of Match 2 as Al Ain/Wellington clash with the winners of the African Champions League.
