Isco: "Why should I answer that question as you'll write whatever you want"

Tension this morning at Las Rozas as Isco faced the media and refused to answer a question by El Pais journalist Diego Torres.

Update:
Isco: "Why should I answer that question as you'll write whatever you want"

Real Madrid's Isco was the player selected by the RFEF (Spanish FA) press officer to face the media this morning as Luis Enrique's men prepare for their debut Uefa Nations League game where "La Roja" face England in London on Saturday.

A moment of tension arose during the session when El Pais journalist Diego Torres asked Isco how he prefers to play against teams who sit deep.

Isco answered by claiming that he was not prepared to answer the question stating: "I won't answer that question as you'll write whatever you like in your section in the newspaper, so I'll just you let you carry on in that manner. We're the ones playing on the pitch for the national team but we need people around us who are helpful instead of putting obstacles in the way constantly as that offers nothing."

Apparently the Real Madrid player was unhappy with a column penned by Torres criticising the Benalmadena born player's performance at the Russia 2018 World Cup.
