Man City's Brahim Díaz on Real Madrid's radar - reports

The Evening Standard report that Manchester City fear Brahim, one of their promising youth stars could leave the club. Madrid are one of the clubs with an interest in him.

Brahim Díaz is still only 19 but he's widely regarded as one of the brightest promises in European football. He left Málaga's youth academy for Manchester City in 2013, and since then, he's already made his debut in the Champions League.

According to The Evening Standard, Manchester City are worried that they could lose Brahim - much in the same way they did with Jadon Sancho, the big star of their youth team who left to join Borussia Dortmund last season. One club who are keeping a close eye on the teenager's situation is Real Madrid. Brahim fits in perfectly of Madrid new policy of signing talented young players to develop for the future.

Brahim contract coming up for revision

The English newspaper goes on to add that Brahim isn't happy with the amount of first team action he's been getting with City. His contract is due to expire in June, so unless he renews with City over the next few months, he will be able to leave on a free from next summer. Those fears may well be unfounded as Brahim recently told Catalan media that his plan is to sign a new deal with Man City. "I just want to play as much as I can and keep learning although I would like to play more minutes", he told Mundo Deportivo back in July.

For the time being, it's expected that will alternate playing for Man City's Under-21s with sporadic games for the senior side under Pep Guardiola.
