Ronaldo admits to anxiety after goalless start to life at Juventus
Cristiano spoke to Sky Sports and said "that's the way life is, sometimes we can't control out anxiety" after failing to score with Juventus in three games.
At the fourth time of asking, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his first and second goals in a Juventus shirt against Sassuolo. After the meeting, the former Real Madrid player told Sky Sports that "I am very happy, the game was very close. Sassuolo played well but we deserved the win, we had a lot of chances. I really wanted to score my first goals."
There was a lot made of Ronaldo's lack of goals in black and white and the striker felt it too. "Football is like that, what counts is to do well and for the team to win. I was a bit anxious with everything that happened after leaving Real Madrid to come here, but that's the way life is."
"It's human to be like that, sometimes we can't control our anxiety," he said. "But I am happy, I knew that I was working well and that the goals were going to come. I appreciate my teammates, who were helping me as much as they could to adapt to the Italian league."
Ronaldo admits that the Champions League group Juventus have been drawn in is difficult with Manchester United, Valencia and Young Boys but he says "it's the competition that I like the most and I hope we can a lot of luck in it."
