PSG on Abbey Road: L'Équipe recreates famous Beatles cover
Cavani, Mbappé, Tuchel and Neymar are transformed into Harrison, McCartney, Starr and Lennon as the French paper builds up to Liverpool clash.
Tonight Paris Saint-Germain visit Liverpool in a highly-anticipated encounter against Jürgen Klopp's Liverpool in their first group game of the 2018/19 Champions League. And French daily L'Équipe have taken a very famous image linked to their hosts as their front page.
PSG stars become The Beatles
In place of John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney and George Harrison, the paper has placed (from right to left) Thomas Tuchel, Neymar, Kylian Mbappé and Edinson Cavani. As well as the iconic image of the street crossing outside the studios in London, the image has also been adapted to show the grass of a football pitch up the road. The appropriate title chosen is "A path to cross", ahead of the match against last season's runner's up and top scorers.
"In Liverpool, the city of The Beatles and The Reds, five-time European champions, PSG start a long journey towards the objective that all fans are dreaming of, winning the Champions Leagure," reads the article.
PSG start the competition as one of the favourites for the tournament and tonight should give us an idea of their credentials, with their hosts also seen as potential challengers.
