Real Madrid have offically confirmed the list of 20 players for tonight's game against Espanyol (20:45 at the Santiago Bernabéu) and, as had been reported earlier, Vinicius is in.

Vinicius closer to Real Madrid debut

Although manager Julen Lopetegui must still remove one of those names ahead of the match to bring it down to 19, it is unlikely that the young Brazilian striker will be left out. That will mean he'll almost certainly be sat on the Bernabéu bench waiting for his chance.

The youngster has already been in a similar position this season, named as one of the substitutes for the European Super Cup against Atlético, although he was unused on that occasion. Since then, the debate has continued to grow about his potential inclusion after some impressive performances for Castilla.

Other squad news is likely to result in another competitive debut, that of Álvaro Odriozola. Dani Carvajal is missing through injury which could allow the youngster his chance to shine. Toni Kroos, will be rested for this game, while Vallejo and Reguilón have been left out once again by the manager.
