Juventus await sanctions for fans' abusive chants against Napoli

According to Italian media, the Bianconero could be made to play with part of the stadium closed after racist and other offensive behaviour was witnessed.

During Juventus' home match against their greatest rival in recent times, Napoli, on Saturday, the offensive chants from the fans were evident. And these did not go unnoticed by Serie A officials based on newspaper reports in Italy on Monday.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the Bianconero could be sanctioned with the partial closure of their stands, the location where the insults against Napoli were heard, or with a financial fine. The decision will be confirmed on Tuesday, ahead of the club's Champions League match against Young Boys of Bern.

These chants under the spotlight targeted the city of Naples, the club's players and its coach, Carlo Ancelotti. One of the most affected players was Koulibaly, who was subjected to racist abuse, say the claims.
