COPA LIBERTADORES
Cruzeiro fans 'serenade' Boca Juniors with nocturnal fireworks show
With an adverse 2-0 scoreline from the first leg, Cruziero fans are doing all they can to give their side a second leg advantage.
Boca Juniors are in Belo Horizonte where they face Cruzeiro in the second leg of the Copa Libertadores with a 2-0 scoreline to their favour from the first leg in Buenos Aires.
As the Boca delegation slept in their centrally located Ouro Minas de Belo Horizonte hotel last night, at approximately 01:30 local time, a group of Cruzeiro fans commenced a fireworks display with firecrackers and pyrotechnics in an attempt to disrupt the sleep pattern of the Argentinean squad.
There was an absence of police in the vicinity and the local hotel security struggled to disrupt the fireworks show employed by fans of the Brazilian side and it wasn't until 04:00 local time when a law enforcement patrol came to the scene as the home fans rapidly disappeared.
The winners of tonight's second leg are set to face Sao Paolo based Palmieras in the Libertadores semi-final.
